Lotte Construction Wins 242.9 Billion KRW Contract for Cheonho Woosung Apartment Reconstruction

Creation of Large Gatehouses, Circular Walking Trails, and Themed Gardens

Lotte Construction has been selected as the contractor for the Cheonho Woosung Apartment reconstruction and maintenance project, valued at 242.9 billion KRW.

On the 29th, Lotte Construction announced that it was chosen as the contractor at the general meeting held at Hwapyeong Church in Cheonho-dong, Gangdong-gu, Seoul, for the Cheonho Woosung Apartment reconstruction and maintenance project.

The Cheonho Woosung Apartment reconstruction and maintenance project involves constructing 11 buildings with 629 households and auxiliary welfare facilities, ranging from 4 basement floors to 15 above-ground floors, on the site at 19-1 Cheonho-dong, Gangdong-gu, Seoul.

The complex is within walking distance of Myeongil Station and Gubeundari Station on Subway Line 5, with easy access to Olympic-daero and the Outer Ring Road. Within 500 meters are Cheonho Elementary and Middle Schools, Seongdeok High School, and within 1 km are Homeplus, Myeongil Traditional Market, Gangdong Kyunghee University Hospital, and Gangdong Seongsim Hospital.

Lotte Construction conducted various surveys in advance to reflect the voices of the union members in the design. Based on this, they plan to present a symbolic signature exterior design representing Gangdong, an original facade design, a landscape line extending from rooftop ornaments to side walls, community facilities unified by a frame facade, and a high-end large gatehouse connected to the low-rise section.

Applying Lotte Construction’s landscaping brand GREEN X GROOVE, they will offer landscaping that provides experiences of nature and inspiration for life. Notably, since union members showed the greatest interest in the walking paths within the complex during the landscaping design survey, a 2 km circular walking trail surrounding the complex and various themed gardens will be created.

A Lotte Construction official stated, "We plan to present a differentiated design and an exterior that maximizes the symbolism of Cheonho Woosung Apartment. We will devote Lotte Construction’s expertise and sincerity to complete a landmark that will be the pride of Gangdong and repay with a premium apartment."
