Public Hearing on the 4th Amendment to the Metropolitan Area Wide-Area Transportation Implementation Plan on July 12

Public Feedback on the Extension of Seoul Subway Line 5 and Six Other Metropolitan Railway Projects Nationwide

The Metropolitan Transport Commission under the Ministry of Land, Infrastructure and Transport will hold a public hearing on the 12th of next month at the Korea Chamber of Commerce and Industry in Seoul to gather opinions on projects to be added or changed in the "4th Metropolitan Area Wide-area Transportation Implementation Plan (2021?2025)."

The public hearing is expected to be attended by experts, related organizations, and local residents. Additionally, it will be live-streamed online so that any interested citizens can participate.

The Metropolitan Area Wide-area Transportation Implementation Plan is a five-year plan established by the Minister of Land, Infrastructure and Transport under the "Special Act on Metropolitan Area Wide-area Transportation Management" to effectively promote the expansion of metropolitan area wide-area transportation facilities and the improvement of the wide-area transportation system.

The public hearing is being held to add a total of six projects, considering the changed circumstances since the establishment of the "4th Metropolitan Area Wide-area Transportation Implementation Plan (2021?2025)" in 2021. Opinions can also be submitted by mail, fax, or email until July 18.

The Metropolitan Transport Commission will carefully review the opinions received at this public hearing to finalize the "Amendment to the Metropolitan Area Wide-area Transportation Implementation Plan" and, after deliberation by the Metropolitan Transport Commission, will announce the changes to the "4th Metropolitan Area Wide-area Transportation Implementation Plan (2021?2025)."
