Seonghwa Lim, Gwangju Seo-gu Council Member, Proposes 'Autonomous Police Affairs Support Ordinance'

Im Seonghwa, a member of the Gwangju Metropolitan City Seo-gu Council, proposed the 'Ordinance on Supporting Autonomous Police Affairs.'

According to the Seo-gu Council on the 28th, the ordinance includes ▲ Establishment of a support plan for autonomous police affairs ▲ Support for autonomous police affairs ▲ Establishment of a cooperative system with related organizations such as the Seo-gu Council, Western Police Station, Western Education Support Office, and Western Fire Station.

Councilor Im stated, “Although three years have passed since the launch of the autonomous police, there were no autonomous police affairs tailored to Seo-gu. We decided to enact the ordinance because it is necessary for Seo-gu Office and related organizations such as the Western Police Station to establish a cooperative system to provide security services that reflect the needs of Seo-gu residents.”

Through this ordinance, it is expected that Seo-gu customized autonomous police affairs will be smoothly carried out, contributing to protecting the safety and lives of district residents by providing security services that reflect the demands of the residents.
