Gwangju Independent Support Agency Linked Youth Employment Policy Briefing
'Strengthening Employment Skills Accompaniment Program' to Operate from July 1
The Gwangju Regional Employment and Labor Office (Director Lee Seong-ryong) announced on the 28th that it held a joint briefing session on youth employment policies together with the Gwangju Metropolitan City Self-Reliance Support Agency.
Since signing the "Agreement for Supporting Employment of Youth Preparing for Self-Reliance" on November 14 last year, the Gwangju Labor Office and the Gwangju Self-Reliance Support Agency have been exchanging opinions on various measures to support employment for youth preparing for self-reliance.
This briefing session was promoted to help local youth preparing for self-reliance have hope and prepare for employment.
The youth employment policies implemented by the Gwangju Labor Office were produced in the form of YouTube Shorts videos to make them easy for young people to understand and shared with the dedicated agency. Cases of successful employment through participation in youth employment policies were also introduced.
In addition, to help youth preparing for self-reliance systematically prepare for employment on their own, the Gwangju Labor Office demonstrated the "Employment Strengthening Accompaniment Program," which is specialized by the office and scheduled to be implemented from the 1st of next month.
The Employment Strengthening Accompaniment Program is an employment program planned independently by the Gwangju Labor Office, designed to assist youth preparing for self-reliance who have so far prepared for employment on their own. Now, the Gwangju Labor Office and the Gwangju Self-Reliance Support Agency will work together with the youth to handle necessary tasks such as preparing employment documents like resumes and self-introduction letters, employment interview clinics, and NCS consulting.
If youth preparing for self-reliance select and apply for the employment support program they need, counselors from the Gwangju Employment Center will visit the location desired by the youth and provide one-on-one customized services on-site.
Lee Seong-ryong, Director of the Gwangju Employment and Labor Office, said, "We will actively operate employment support programs so that local youth preparing for self-reliance can find employment quickly," and added, "We will focus the capabilities of the Employment Center so that youth preparing for employment can trust that the Employment Center is a partner by their side."
