Allegations of sexual misconduct have been raised against the police chief of the southern Gyeonggi region.
According to the police on the 27th, Superintendent A, affiliated with the Southern Gyeonggi Provincial Police Agency, has been placed on standby and suspended from duty.
Superintendent A is reportedly suspected of inappropriate behavior toward a subordinate during a company dinner.
A police official stated, "I understand this matter is being investigated by the headquarters."
