Asan City Conducts On-Site Inspection of Flood Prevention Facilities in Preparation for the Monsoon Season Asan City in Chungnam conducted on-site inspections of flood prevention facilities in the area ahead of the full-scale rainy season.

Asan City in Chungnam announced on the 27th that it conducted an on-site inspection of flood prevention facilities within the jurisdiction ahead of the full-scale rainy season.


This safety inspection was led by Vice Mayor Jo Ilgyo, focusing on related departments such as the Safety General Division, Road Management Division, and Architecture Division, to check the operational status and management system of the flood prevention facilities and ensure final preparedness.


The inspection team observed the operation training of the 'Guryeong Drainage Pump Station' located in Galsan-ri, Tangjeong-myeon, and then checked the management status and operation methods of the flood barriers installed to prepare for flooding in the underground parking lots of apartment complexes.

Additionally, they inspected the operational status of flood prevention entry blocking facilities installed at the Guryeong Underpass in Baebang-eup and the Gogo Underpass in Yeomchi-eup, and visited eight multi-family semi-basement houses with a history of flooding in 2023 to examine any additional leaks or inconveniences after the installation of flood barriers.


Vice Mayor Jo Ilgyo stated, “Through the enactment of the ‘Asan City Ordinance on the Installation and Support of Flood Prevention Facilities’ in 2023, apartment complexes, detached houses, and small businesses in flood-prone areas can receive subsidies for installing flood barriers,” adding, “We will encourage early installation of flood barriers in buildings with a history of flooding through active promotion.”
