Cheonan City in Chungnam has revamped its regular city tour course for the summer season.
The course revision, temporarily applied in July and August, is designed around forests, parks, and indoor tourist attractions to help visitors escape the heat.
The regular city tour, operating four times a week on Tuesdays, Thursdays, Saturdays, and Sundays, will add courses including Taejosan Forest Leisure & Barrier-Free Sharing Trail, Taehaksan Healing Forest, Ujeong Museum, and Hong Dae-yong Science Museum.
In particular, at Taehaksan and Taejosan, picnic baskets containing mats, water, and board games will be provided to tourists.
In addition to the regular course, various themed courses are offered. The ‘Wednesday Cultural Walk Themed Course,’ held on the last Wednesday of every month on Culture Day, includes attending the ‘11 o’clock Concert’ at Cheonan Arts Center and visiting the Arario Gallery and the 100 Years of Modern Poetry Hall.
Another themed course, ‘City Tour with University Students,’ leverages Cheonan’s characteristic of having 12 universities and is designed for students enrolled in universities in Cheonan and international students to promote the city.
The ‘Summer Vacation Themed Course,’ debuting on the 24th of next month for summer break, is planned for children in elementary school or younger accompanied by guardians and includes visits to the Hong Dae-yong Science Museum, Taejosan Forest Leisure, and Dosol Square water play facilities.
