'Prevent Food Poisoning'... Gyeonggi-do Promotes Prevention to 1,000 Establishments Precautions When Handling Eggs Produced by Gyeonggi Province to Prevent Food Poisoning

Gyeonggi Province will promote food poisoning prevention through the 'Food Poisoning Prevention Communication Manager' until July 12 to prevent food poisoning during the summer season.

The Communication Managers are consumer food hygiene inspectors with expertise in the field of food hygiene. Gyeonggi Province has designated a total of 64 Communication Managers for food poisoning prevention, with 2 to 4 people assigned per city and county.

They will promote proper handling of ingredients and personal hygiene rules to a total of 1,000 locations, including restaurants that frequently handle eggs such as gimbap, milmyeon, and naengmyeon, as well as delivery restaurants around industrial complexes.

The Communication Managers will especially engage in activities such as ▲guidance on food poisoning prevention for hygienic and safe food preparation and distribution of promotional materials ▲guidance on safe cooking practices for restaurants ▲personal hygiene education.

Inchikwon, Director of Food Safety at Gyeonggi Province, said, "Restaurant owners and workers should pay special attention to food preparation and storage to prevent food poisoning," and added, "Gyeonggi Province will continue to do its best to create a safe food environment for residents."
