Foundation Laid for Engineering Approaches and Improved Understanding of Dementia
Daegu Cyber University held a special lecture on the 25th at the Rehabilitation Science College Building 1 of Daegu University, co-hosted with the Department of Speech-Language Pathology at Daegu University.

The event featured a lecture by Professor Heetae Jeong from Indiana University Indianapolis, USA, under the theme 'Tech-assisted holistic dementia management to improve the QoL of people living with dementia and caregivers.'
This special lecture was organized to enhance systematic approaches and understanding of engineering solutions for dementia and ways to improve quality of life.
Han Jiyeon, head of the Department of Speech-Language Pathology, said, "I hope our students will develop problem-solving skills for real-world issues and broaden their expertise in their major fields through this special lecture, thereby strengthening their competitiveness."
The Department of Speech-Language Pathology at Daegu Cyber University is celebrating its 18th anniversary this year and produced the top scorer in the Level 1 qualification of the 12th Level 2 Language Rehabilitation Specialist Exam in 2023.
Furthermore, the department is dedicating all its efforts to fostering professional language rehabilitation specialists who can diagnose and identify children and adults with language disorders at an early stage and provide patient-centered solutions.
