Park Gang-su, Mayor of Mapo District, attended the inauguration ceremony of the ‘Hyosarang Arts Troupe’ held at Gongdeok-dong Community Center on the afternoon of the 26th.
The ‘Hyosarang Arts Troupe,’ established with the purpose of practicing social filial piety, is led by Park Jeong-su, Vice Director of the Mapo Cultural Center, and includes members such as singers Kim Yong-man, Kim Seon-sim, Park So-yeon, and Sorina.
Park Jeong-su, the troupe leader, and the members who hosted the inauguration ceremony invited about 80 elderly residents aged 70 and above from the local community and presented various congratulatory performances, including the theme song of ‘Filial Piety Table.’
On this day, Park Gang-su, Mayor of Mapo District, conveyed his congratulatory message, saying, “I sincerely congratulate the establishment of the ‘Hyosarang Arts Troupe,’ which widely spreads filial piety and love in the local community.”
He added, “The reason why the founding of the Hyosarang Arts Troupe is even more welcome is that Mapo District has been promoting various filial piety series projects with the belief that ‘everyone is both a parent and a child.’ Mapo District will continue to do its best to ensure that our elderly, who have devoted themselves to their families and the country, can be respected in society.”
