Gyeonggi Province Governor Kim Dong-yeon stated that sincerity grows stronger in difficult times, mentioning that he has been receiving messages of consolation and offers of help from across the country regarding the Hwaseong factory fire.

On the 26th, Governor Kim posted on his social media, "After hearing the news of the Hwaseong factory fire accident, Governor Kim Tae-heum of Chungnam, Mayor Kang Ki-jung of Gwangju, and Governor Kim Kwan-young of Jeonbuk personally called me," adding, "They expressed their condolences to the victims and said they would actively assist with anything needed for accident recovery. I sincerely thank them."

He continued, "Help from all over the country is reaching Gyeonggi Province," and added, "Your interest and sharing provide great strength to the victims and their families. Fundraising is being conducted by the Korean Red Cross and Gyeonggi Community Chest of Korea."
