Cheonan City Successfully Concludes 'Synergy Innovation'... Contributing to the Revitalization of the Startup Ecosystem

The 'Cheonan Synergy Innovation' event successfully concluded, serving as a catalyst for revitalizing the local startup ecosystem.

Co-hosted by Cheonan City, Cheonan Science and Industry Promotion Agency, Chungnam Information & Culture Industry Promotion Agency, Hoseo University, Korea Automotive Technology Institute, and Chungnam Creative Economy Innovation Center, this event aimed to promote technological collaboration between startups and large and medium-sized enterprises through 'open innovation.' It also featured an investment attraction briefing (IR) for promising local startups, as well as product exhibitions and demonstrations to support product promotion and market development.

At the open innovation area set up on the first floor of City Hall, 13 large and medium-sized companies from 10 sectors including mobility, semiconductors, pharmaceuticals, and medical devices were pre-matched with 50 local startups for one-on-one in-depth technical consultations.

Additionally, the investment attraction briefing (IR) invited 25 investment firms to attend, where 10 promising local startups delivered IR pitches.

In the City Hall lobby, a product exhibition and demonstration for citizens will be held until the 28th. The exhibited and demonstrated items focus mainly on business-to-consumer (B2C) products, allowing attendees to evaluate the products through actual demonstrations.

Mayor Park Sang-don stated, “This event will help build a virtuous cycle startup ecosystem and revitalize the local economy by connecting promising startups with the technological capabilities needed by large and medium-sized enterprises, providing opportunities for collaboration.”
