Lee Chang-yong, Governor of the Bank of Korea, will depart on the 27th to attend the '94th Annual General Meeting of the Bank for International Settlements (BIS)' held in Basel, Switzerland.


The Bank of Korea announced on the 26th that Governor Lee will leave on the 27th to attend the 94th BIS Annual General Meeting and is scheduled to return on July 1st.


Prior to the annual meeting, on the 28th, Governor Lee will also attend the '23rd BIS Annual Conference' to discuss opportunities and risks faced by central banks with overseas scholars and officials from international financial institutions. He is expected to chair discussions as a moderator in some sessions. Details such as the specific topics, speakers, and discussants of the BIS Annual Conference are confidential according to the host's policy.


Afterwards, he will participate in the 'World Economic Meeting' to discuss the recent global economic and financial market situation with central bank governors of member countries. He also plans to attend the BIS Board of Directors and the Economic Advisory Committee meetings.
