Participation Across Various Age Groups, Creating a Venue for Community Sports
Council Efforts to Promote Residents' Health and Activate Community Sports
The 1st Seocho District Council Chairman's Cup Soccer Tournament was successfully held.
This tournament is the first community sports event held under the Chairman's Cup title since the council's inauguration. A total of 21 soccer clubs from various age groups in the region, including youth teams, people in their 20s and 30s, 40s and 50s, and 50s and 60s, participated in the event.
The opening ceremony held on the 23rd at Yangjae Neighborhood Park was attended by National Assembly members Joeunhee and Shindongwook, Seocho District Mayor Jeonseongsu, Seoul City Council members Choi Hojeong, Lee Sukja, Park Sanghyuk, Lee Jongbae, Seocho District Sports Association President Lee Jonghwan, and Seocho District Football Association President Jeong Jinseol, who celebrated the tournament's opening.
Additionally, attendees took the time to communicate and build consensus on ways to expand the base of community sports, including soccer clubs.
The hosting of this Chairman's Cup Soccer Tournament was made possible by the efforts and determination of the council and the Seocho District Football Association to promote community sports and improve residents' health. Starting with the successful hosting of this first tournament, the council plans to provide broader opportunities for residents to engage more easily in sports activities in their daily lives.
Chairman Oh Secheol stated, "This tournament was a meaningful attempt to encourage healthy and happy lives for our residents," adding, "We will continue to support various sports events where residents can gather, communicate, and harmonize."
