Gyeongbuk-Jeonnam Development Corporation, Mutual Donation of Local Specialties for Yeonghonam Win-Win Cooperation

Gyeongbuk Development Corporation and Jeonnam Development Corporation have once again announced the launch of a joint social contribution project for 'Yeong-Honam Win-Win Cooperation' this year, following last year.


On the 24th, the opening ceremony of the 'Yeong-Honam Win-Win Cooperation Harmony Festival' was held at Gwanghwamun Square in Seoul. Gyeongbuk Province and Jeonnam Province, following last year’s Harmony Festival held at the Suncheonman International Garden Expo site in Jeonnam, are holding this year’s event under the slogan 'Together as One Korea with the Power of Yeong-Honam' at Gwanghwamun Square in Seoul for three days until the 26th.

Gyeongbuk-Jeonnam Development Corporation, Mutual Donation of Local Specialties for Yeonghonam Win-Win Cooperation JaeHyuk Lee, president of Gyeongbuk Development Corporation (right), and Chungmo Jang, president of Jeonnam Development Corporation, each purchased regional specialties from Yeongnam and Honam with 3 million won and are mutually donating them.

On this day, Lee Jaehyuk, President of Gyeongbuk Development Corporation, and Jang Chungmo, President of Jeonnam Development Corporation, visited the Hwagae Market set up at the venue to promote regional cooperation between Yeong-Honam and actively support marginalized groups in the community, where they purchased local specialty products. Gyeongbuk Development Corporation purchased specialty products from the Jeonnam region, while Jeonnam Development Corporation purchased specialty products from the Gyeongbuk region, and each corporation donated them to the other region through their respective social welfare councils.


Lee Jaehyuk, President of Gyeongbuk Development Corporation, said, "The joint social contribution project for Yeong-Honam win-win cooperation has already entered its second year. This year, both corporations will work even more actively together to lead the spread of a sharing culture in the community and various social contribution activities."


Meanwhile, since last year, the two corporations have been cooperating to build a social contribution network for Yeong-Honam win-win cooperation through continuous exchanges, starting with mutual donations of local specialty products at the win-win market booth of the 'Yeong-Honam Win-Win Cooperation Harmony Festival,' as well as participating in the Hometown Love Donation Program and joint volunteer activities. This year as well, both corporations plan to carry out joint volunteer activities such as renovating old houses and helping with farm work.
