In particular, Sinan-gun intends to reduce plastic waste generation and transition to a sustainable circular economy society through the production and distribution of eco-friendly biodegradable plastic products by promoting Plastic Zero.

The ordinance stipulates the responsibilities of the county governor, businesses, and residents regarding the promotion of Plastic Zero in Sinan-gun, and includes provisions for fostering a circular economy culture and establishing execution plans.

Through this, administrative and financial support measures have also been prepared to promote related projects and strengthen competitiveness.

County Governor Park Woo-ryang emphasized, "The approval of this ordinance will be an opportunity for Sinan-gun to be reborn as a circular economy city," adding, "In a situation where plastic-related regulations are being strengthened worldwide, the distribution and utilization of eco-friendly biodegradable plastics are essential."

Sinan-gun passed this ordinance to support its ongoing "Plastic Zero 2050" initiative and plans to take the lead in creating a sustainable environment for future generations by developing and distributing eco-friendly plastic products using local agricultural, fishery by-products, and waste resources.
