June 26-27 Tokyo Dome Local Fan Meeting
YOASOBI · 250 · Rina Sawayama Guest Appearance
Group NewJeans will hold their first fan meeting in Japan since their debut.
According to their agency ADOR on the 25th, NewJeans will hold the fan meeting ‘Bunnies Camp 2024 Tokyo Dome’ at Tokyo Dome on the 26th and 27th. Despite being a weekday event, tickets for both days sold out quickly.
Member Hyein, who has been on hiatus since last month due to a minor fracture on the top of her foot, is expected to participate in the event without putting strain on her injury.
Through their agency, NewJeans said, “Since this fan meeting coincides with our official debut in Japan, we have prepared it on a scale befitting the occasion. Please look forward to many stages that can only be seen at Tokyo Dome.”
The members added, “We want to get closer to Bunnies (the fandom name) and communicate with them. We are really looking forward to and excited about those moments. It will be a precious time.”
DJ, Band Performance, Over 20 Songs in 150 Minutes Promising a ‘Music Festival’
The fan meeting ‘Bunnies Camp 2024 Tokyo Dome’ promises a NewJeans-style music festival with a rich setlist and diverse performances.
Starting with an opening DJ set by producer 250, NewJeans will perform a parade of over 20 hit songs for about 150 minutes. The lineup includes 4 new songs from the double single ‘How Sweet’ and the Japanese debut single ‘Supernatural,’ 12 previously released tracks that have gained worldwide popularity, and special solo stages by the members. The Japanese mixed duo YOASOBI and singer-songwriter Rina Sawayama will also appear as special guests, adding more variety to the show.
Notably, a rare band live performance will accompany NewJeans at the fan meeting, filling Tokyo Dome with even richer sound. Using stages that extend into the audience and other setups, the deep interaction with fans and NewJeans’ unique emotional performance production are expected to provide an immersive experience without a dull moment.
Popularity Surge with Japanese Debut... Three Consecutive Days at No.1 on Oricon and Line Music
NewJeans’ fresh Japanese debut single ‘Supernatural’ is also gaining great popularity locally. According to the latest Oricon chart released on the 24th, NewJeans’ ‘Supernatural’ topped the ‘Daily Single Ranking’ on the 23rd. The single debuted at No.1 on this chart on its release day (21st) and maintained the top spot for three consecutive days.
The title track ‘Supernatural’ has held the No.1 position on the Line Music daily chart (as of the 24th) for three days straight. On the Oricon ‘Daily Digital Single Ranking’ (as of the 23rd), the song ranked 3rd, and the included track ‘Right Now’ is also performing well on this chart.
Before the Tokyo Dome fan meeting, NewJeans made appearances on local terrestrial TV programs such as Fuji TV’s ‘Mezamashi TV’ and ‘Mezamashi 8,’ TV Asahi’s ‘Music Station,’ Nippon TV’s ‘with MUSIC,’ and TBS’s ‘CDTV Live! Live!,’ making a strong impression.
