Direct Bus No. 3000 Transferred to Incheon City... Operating from Ganghwa Terminal to Dangsan Station Starting July 1

Operated as Route 3000 and 3000-1
Route 3000-1 runs from Gimpo Wolgot Depot to Sinchon Station

The direct seat bus number 3000, running between Incheon Ganghwa Terminal and Seoul Sinchon Station, will be split into routes 3000 and 3000-1 starting from July 1.

Accordingly, route 3000 will operate from Ganghwa Terminal to Dangsan Station, while route 3000-1 will run from Gimpo Wolgot Public Garage to Sinchon Station.

Incheon City held three rounds of consultations with Gyeonggi Province, Ganghwa County, Gimpo City, and transportation companies following the interpretation by the Ministry of Government Legislation that the starting point of route 3000 (23 buses), which is licensed and operated under a quasi-public system by the Metropolitan Area Transport Commission, being located in Incheon Ganghwa rather than Gyeonggi Province, violates the Enforcement Decree of the Passenger Transport Service Act.

As a result of the consultations, the route was divided: route 3000 (starting from Ganghwa Terminal, 8 buses) will have its license transferred to Incheon City, and route 3000-1 (starting from Gimpo City, 15 buses) will maintain the Metropolitan Area Transport Commission's quasi-public operation system.

Considering that the number of buses on route 3000 will be reduced from 23 to 8 and the dispatch interval will increase, Incheon City decided to reduce the number of stops in the Gimpo section from 24 to 2 through route changes, and shorten the Seoul section's terminus from Sinchon Station to Dangsan Station, reducing stops from 13 to 8.

An official from Incheon City stated, "By reducing stops on the Gimpo-Seoul section to make it an express route, residents of Ganghwa County, who face poor transportation conditions, will have faster access to Seoul. After transferring route 3000, we will monitor the operation and actively consider increasing the number of buses if adjustments to dispatch intervals are needed due to increased demand."
