LX Hausys announced on the 25th that it has launched the premium aluminum system window ‘Fenest’.
Fenest is a compound word combining the German word for window, ‘Fenster,’ and the English superlative suffix ‘-est,’ meaning ‘to complete the best window.’
Last year in the first half, LX Hausys signed a business agreement with Reynaers, a global aluminum window company based in Belgium, and has been collaborating on the development of system windows. After more than a year of cooperation, they introduced Fenest.
Compared to existing domestic aluminum system window products, Fenest’s biggest features are the adoption of various opening methods suitable for building designs, such as central opening and corner opening, and the capability to manufacture extra-large windows up to approximately 4 meters in height.
Unlike conventional system windows, Fenest offers various opening options including ▲horizontal linked opening that allows up to six windows to open and close in unison ▲central opening where the window opens from the center to both sides ▲corner opening where paired windows meet at a building corner and open from the corner center to both sides.
Additionally, it is equipped with an automatic opening function using an electric motor, various handle designs, frame thickness options, and other features and accessories that can be selected according to the preferences and needs of the building owner.
An LX Hausys official stated, “With the recent trend toward upscale townhouses, villas, hotels, and resorts, the demand for high-end system windows is gradually increasing. To strengthen our presence in this market, we have introduced ‘Fenest.’ We will focus our sales efforts on developers, architectural firms, and construction companies to grow ‘Fenest’ into a leading domestic system window brand.”
