Wizit Selected as an Excellent Company in Safety and Environment... Leading ESG Management

Wizit, a specialized company in semiconductor and display materials, parts, and equipment (SoBuJang), has been selected as an 'Excellent Company in Safety Service Design Projects.'

On the 25th, Wizit announced that it held a plaque ceremony for the Excellent Company in Safety Service Design Projects at its headquarters in Namdong-gu, Incheon, with officials from the Korea Industrial Complex Corporation and Wizit executives in attendance.

The 'Safety Service Design Project,' jointly hosted by the Korea Industrial Complex Corporation and the Korea Institute of Design Promotion, is a government-supported initiative that identifies workplace issues centered on workers and improves design within workplaces to be safety-friendly. Companies are selected based on a comprehensive review of efficiency, potential for performance dissemination, and plans and willingness for responsive investment. Wizit was selected last year as one of eight companies nationwide and successfully carried out the project.

Wizit produces consumable parts for equipment applied in core processes of semiconductor and display manufacturing. These processes involve high temperatures and various chemical gases, requiring parts with high durability and precise surface treatment (Anodizing) technology to prevent particle generation and static electricity.

In particular, Wizit practices preventive environmental management and continuous improvement activities to control and discharge environmental pollutants generated during the surface treatment (Anodizing) process below legal standards, earning designation as an 'Excellent Environmental Management Company' by Incheon Metropolitan City for five consecutive years since 2020.

The 'Excellent Environmental Management Company' designation is given to only 16 companies out of approximately 5,000 companies with environmental permits related to air and water quality in the jurisdiction. During the designation period, companies receive incentives such as priority selection for environmental improvement support projects, exemption from regular inspections, and corporate promotion and market recognition.

A Wizit official stated, "In an era where ESG (Environmental, Social, and Governance) management is a core competitiveness, practicing environmental conservation and creating a safe working environment are not optional but necessary elements. We will continue to strengthen efforts to enhance corporate value by faithfully fulfilling the company's role and responsibility for sustainable management through various ESG management activities."

Meanwhile, since 1998, Wizit has sequentially acquired and maintained certifications for ▲ISO9001 (Quality Management System), ▲ISO14001 (Environmental Management System), and ▲ISO45001 (Occupational Health and Safety Management System) through annual surveillance audits.
