Hyundai Mobis invested about 1.6 trillion KRW in research and development last year alone. It established a comprehensive electrification research center in Uiwang, Gyeonggi Province, and is expanding new production bases both domestically and internationally. In the first half of this year, Volkswagen is building a new factory in Spain to supply battery systems (BSA), and a dedicated electric vehicle module factory is being established in Ulsan, Korea. Production bases for electrification parts are also being set up in North America and Indonesia, preparing for operation in the second half of this year.

In this Sustainability Report, Hyundai Mobis expressed a concrete commitment to ESG (Environmental, Social, and Governance) practices. It selected eight key ESG topics: ▲climate change response ▲energy use management ▲product circularity ▲supply chain sustainability management ▲product safety and quality assurance ▲corporate culture, and included management status for each area.

This report was structured with reference to new global reporting standards and expanded disclosure areas using consolidated data including overseas business sites and domestic subsidiaries. For the first time this year, third-party verification was obtained not only for greenhouse gas emissions from domestic and international business sites but also for supply chain greenhouse gas emissions in the climate crisis response area.
