Dobong-gu to Implement 2024 Proactive Administration Plan... Proactive Administration Committee Deliberation and Resolution
Establishes 12 Tasks in 5 Areas Including Proactive Administration Culture and Preferential Treatment for Proactive Officials
Over 50% of Outstanding Proactive Officials to Receive Special Promotions and Exceptional Incentives
Dobong-gu (Mayor Oh Eon-seok) has decided to provide exceptional incentives to more than 50% of the public officials selected as outstanding proactive administration officers in the first and second half of the year. The incentives include special promotions, special salary increases, and the highest grade of performance bonuses.
The district announced that on June 14, it held a Proactive Administration Committee (Personnel Committee) meeting to review and approve these measures.
The reviewed and approved agenda included 12 initiatives across five areas: ▲ fostering a proactive administrative culture led by local government heads ▲ strengthening preferential treatment for proactive administration officers ▲ expanding protection and support for proactive administration officers ▲ preventing and reforming passive administration ▲ enhancing participation and communication in proactive administration.
This year, the district will implement the '2024 Dobong-gu Proactive Administration Execution Plan' to spread the culture of proactive administration and protect and support public officials promoting proactive administration.
To encourage proactive administrative work, the district plans to provide exceptional incentives such as special promotions to outstanding proactive administration officers, as well as award innovation mileage to officials who submit and are selected for outstanding proactive administration cases, with year-end bonuses given based on accumulated mileage points.
Additionally, to spread the culture of proactive administration within the organization, training on proactive administration will be conducted for employees, and outstanding cases will be discovered and shared.
A protection policy for officials promoting proactive administration will also be implemented. In cases where decision-making is difficult due to unclear laws or regulations, a pre-consultation system will provide support, and if an official is audited due to proactive administrative work, an exemption protection officer will assist with exemption procedures and preparation counseling.
Oh Eon-seok, Mayor of Dobong-gu, stated, “Proactive administration is essential to effectively respond to the increasingly diverse and segmented administrative environment. The district will expand incentive systems that provide practical motivation to employees to activate proactive administration.” He added, “We will continue to make various efforts to produce proactive administration outcomes that residents can feel.”
