Six sisters from Missouri, USA, have set the world record for the oldest living sisters with a combined age of 571 years and 293 days.
Recently, the Guinness World Records announced that sisters Norma, Lauren, Maxine, Doris, Margaret, and Elma, born in Missouri, USA, set the record for the oldest living siblings with a combined age of 571 years and 293 days. Their ages range from 88 to 101 years old. The eldest, 101-year-old Norma, currently lives in Ohio, while the other five still reside in Missouri.

These six sisters have experienced many significant events together over nearly 90 years, including the Great Depression, World War II, and the recent COVID-19 pandemic. Although they occasionally had arguments, the youngest, Elma, said that she and her sisters "have never once been angry at each other."
They have remained close throughout their lives and often traveled together wearing shirts numbered 1 to 6 to indicate their birth order. Since three of the six sisters were born in July, they have maintained a family tradition of gathering every summer for a picnic.
Originally, the sisters had a single brother and eldest sibling named Stanley. He would have been 102 this year if he were still alive, but sadly, he passed away at the age of 81 due to a bicycle accident. Dean, Norma’s son, said, "If it weren’t for that unfortunate accident, we believe he would still be alive." Stanley’s daughter, Gale Eagers, said about her aunts’ world record, "My father’s sisters meant the world to him," and "We are very proud of my aunts."
Meanwhile, looking at similar Guinness World Record holders, the Brown brothers?Larry, Ron, and Gene?born on December 1, 1930, are the world’s oldest triplets. They celebrated their 93rd birthday last year. The record for the oldest identical twins was set by Umeno Sumiyama and Koume Kodama from Japan; Koume passed away in 2022 at the age of 108. In 2022, the Hernandez-Perez family from Spain, with 12 siblings, set the record for the oldest siblings with a combined age of 1,058 years and 249 days.
