Assemblyman Kim Seon-kwang Nominated as Chairperson for the Second Half of Daejeon City Council

The People Power Party, the majority party in the Daejeon City Council, held a members' meeting on the 24th and nominated Councilor Kim Seon-gwang (Jung-gu 2) as the chairperson for the second half of the 9th term.

On the same day, the People Power Party held a members' meeting in the City Council Communication Room in the morning and reached a consensus to elect Councilor Kim as chairperson, Councilor Lee Han-young (Seo-gu 6) as the first vice-chairperson, and Councilor Hwang Kyung-ah (proportional representation) as the second vice-chairperson.

At the members' meeting, besides the chairperson group, they signed a pledge to impose disciplinary actions upon candidate registration.

Nominee Kim Seon-gwang is a former president of the Hanbat National University student council, served as a policy advisor to National Assembly member Lee Eun-kwon, was the youth committee chair of the People Power Party Daejeon Jung-gu Party Member Council, and currently serves as the spokesperson for the People Power Party Daejeon City Party.

The Daejeon City Council plans to hold a plenary session on the 26th to conduct a vote of approval or disapproval for the nominee and elect the chairperson group.
