Gyeongnam Nonghyup held a 'Corporate-Rural Connection Movement Business Agreement Ceremony' with the Gyeongnam Regional Headquarters of Korea Rural Community Corporation at the Gyeongnam Nonghyup headquarters on the 24th.
This agreement was established so that both organizations can revitalize rural areas, where rural-urban exchanges have stagnated due to a declining farming population and rapid aging, and to promote mutual cooperation for the development of local agriculture.

The agreement includes: ▲ rural regeneration activities linked to social contribution (such as helping with farm work and village beautification) ▲ revitalizing the local economy by inducing consumption connected to local rural resources ▲ expanding local exchanges using the unique values of both organizations (for example, campaigns to encourage travel to rural areas) ▲ and forming solidarity to overcome rural crises such as disasters. Both organizations agreed to continue cooperating for the development of the local economy through these efforts.
Cho Geunsoo, head of Gyeongnam Nonghyup, said, "We are pleased to sign an agreement with Korea Rural Community Corporation, a public enterprise representing agriculture and rural communities," and added, "By strengthening our cooperative relationship, we will take the lead in expanding social contribution activities and local exchanges for rural areas in difficulty, and promote the development of local agriculture and revitalization of the local economy."
The 'Corporate-Rural Connection Movement' promoted by Nonghyup is a new rural-urban exchange model that continues the legacy of projects such as 'One Company One Village Sisterhood' and 'Creating Villages Together.'
