Isang Brewery Co., Ltd. 'Premium Cheonan Walnut Liquor' Selected as '2024 Chungnam Alcohol Top Ten'

The 'Premium Cheonan Walnut Liquor' from Agricultural Corporation Isang Brewery Co., Ltd. located in Cheonan-si, Chungnam Province, has been selected as one of Chungnam Province's '2024 Chungnam Liquor Top Ten (TOP10)'.

‘Premium Cheonan Walnut Liquor’ from Isang Brewery Co., Ltd., an agricultural corporation located in Cheonan, Chungnam Province, has been selected as one of the ‘2024 Chungnam Liquor Top Ten (TOP10)’ by Chungnam Province.

Chungnam Province and the Chungnam Job and Economic Promotion Agency recently conducted a blind test involving experts and local residents on 44 products from 30 breweries within the province to select representative liquors of Chungnam.

Cheonan Walnut Liquor is a distilled spirit made from walnuts and rice, with walnuts first cultivated in Cheonan. The liquor has an amber color derived from the natural hue of the walnuts and can be aged long-term through oak maturation.

Liquors selected for the Chungnam Liquor Top Ten can participate in special exhibitions and tasting events at the Traditional Liquor Gallery operated by the Ministry of Agriculture, Food and Rural Affairs, receive certification marks, and be provided opportunities to participate in promotional and sales events at domestic and international fairs and local festivals.

A Cheonan city official stated, “We plan to actively support breweries producing liquor from Cheonan agricultural and forest products by providing subsidies through rural resource complex industrialization support projects and customized support projects, as well as offering various benefits such as marketing support and promotion.”
