A began, "Something very thankful happened yesterday, and I really want to share it," adding, "Last Friday, during a brief rest at the Nongdari drowsy rest area near Jincheon, Chungbuk, while returning from duty."

The middle-aged man, who had been watching them attentively during their break, quietly prepaid for coffee at the nearby store after observing their scene with a warm smile. Then, he called over another soldier who was heading to the restroom and told him that the coffee had been paid for and encouraged them to drink it. A explained, "I was surprised when another soldier came back and relayed the message, but then the man came to find me and said, 'My son is also enlisted in the military, and I suddenly thought of you all, so I bought this out of goodwill.
