Junggi Joonganghoe Signs Business Agreement for Successful Promotion of Saemangeum Development Project

Investment in Development Projects and SME Participation through Regional Revitalization Investment Fund

The Korea Federation of SMEs announced on the 24th that it signed a 'Business Agreement for the Successful Promotion of the Saemangeum Development Project' at the Best Western Gunsan Hotel together with Jeonbuk Special Self-Governing Province, Saemangeum Development Agency, Gunsan City, and BS Industry.


The main contents of the agreement include ▲(Korea Federation of SMEs) investment in the development project and participation of the SME sector through the regional revitalization investment fund being prepared by Jeonbuk Special Self-Governing Province ▲(Jeonbuk Province and Gunsan City) support for the successful promotion of the development project ▲(Saemangeum Development Agency) administrative support for the development project ▲(BS Industry) implementation of all matters related to the development project, establishment and execution of plans to revitalize the local economy.

Kim Ki-moon, Chairman of the Korea Federation of SMEs, said, “Through this agreement, we expect successful promotion of the selection of the regional revitalization investment fund for the Saemangeum development project and opportunities for SMEs to participate under favorable conditions,” adding, “It is necessary to build infrastructure that allows many SMEs to settle in the Saemangeum development area, and especially important to create conditions for securing labor, including foreign workers.”


Kim Kwan-young, Governor of Jeonbuk Province, said, “This agreement has created a great momentum for the Shinsi-Yami development project,” and added, “We will join forces with the Korea Federation of SMEs to successfully host the 22nd World Korean Business Convention to be held in October this year.”
