Enjoy Summer Nights: Yongin Jungang Market's 'Starlight Yard Night Market' Held from 28th to 30th

Various Food, Performances, and Experience Events Prepared

The representative summer festival of Yongin City, Gyeonggi Province, 'Yongin Jungang Market Starlight Yard Night Market' will open on the 28th.

Yongin City announced on the 24th that it will hold the '3rd Yongin Jungang Market Starlight Yard Night Market Festival' for three days from the 28th to the 30th around Yongin Jungang Market in Kimryangjang-dong, Cheoin-gu. Now in its third year, the Starlight Yard Night Market is hosted and organized by the Yongin Jungang Market Merchants Association and sponsored by Yongin City.

This year, the city planned the night market to coincide with the opening of the '42nd Korea Theater Festival Yongin,' the largest theater festival in Korea, creating an event that blends culture and festival.

The Starlight Yard Night Market will operate from 3 p.m. to 10 p.m. during the festival period. This year, a total of 72 teams will participate, including 23 teams offering food such as barbecue, snacks, skewers, and treats; 30 teams selling various accessories and handmade products; 11 teams selling alcoholic beverages such as craft beer and traditional liquor; and 8 food trucks selling takoyaki, cream shrimp, and more.

The city expanded the event from being centered on Jungang-ro in Yongin Jungang Market to the Culture Street to provide visitors with convenient access, arranging the flow of visitors accordingly. Food vendors are also distributed to prevent large crowds from gathering in one place. To allow visitors who purchase food to enjoy their meals comfortably, tables are set up in six zones throughout the market alleys.

The event also offers various entertainment options such as performances. On the main stage in the plaza, congratulatory performances will be held by Libert? Ensemble, Syndist Jiyoung, I'm Busker artists 'Gyeongin Expressway·Lucas,' folk singer Taehyun, and others, with an EDM party planned for the evening.

A special experience space for family visitors has also been prepared. In front of Meomum Cafe, a 'Camping Photo Zone' with a forest camping concept will be set up, and a 'Color Parasol Cafeteria' offering special handmade snacks will also operate.

On Culture Street, 'Picasso Street,' where seven artists draw caricature portraits, will be open, and free experiences such as traditional games like rice cake pounding and folk games, as well as resin art and Joayang keyring making, will be available for children.

Meanwhile, the night market, which was first held last year, gained great popularity with many citizens visiting the venue over three days, leading the merchants association to hold the night market again for two days in October of the same year.
