Gyeonggi Provincial Office of Education

The Gyeonggi Provincial Office of Education is the first among all city and provincial education offices nationwide to establish an 'Institution Evaluation Information System.'

On the 23rd, the Office announced that it has decided to build the Institution Evaluation Information System to cumulatively manage various types of data generated from educational activities operated by each institution, including the main office, education support offices, affiliated institutions, and schools, in order to extract meaningful information and utilize it for policy implementation.

The main components of the information system construction include ▲ development of an information system to support institution evaluation tasks ▲ establishment of a cloud-based infrastructure for the institution evaluation information system ▲ support for institution evaluation execution and policy performance analysis.

The Office plans to complete the construction work by October this year after developing the information system functions.

Additionally, the Office will build the institution evaluation information system infrastructure by utilizing cloud-based information resources currently operated at the main office.

Seo Hye-jeong, Policy Planning Officer at the Gyeonggi Provincial Office of Education, stated, "It is necessary to secure and analyze data to ensure that Gyeonggi education is being promoted in a way that supports the field and enhances school educational capacity. This is an important process to review and improve Gyeonggi education policies, and we will support evidence-based education policy formulation through the datafication of education policies."

Meanwhile, after completing the information system construction, the Office will conduct training for institution evaluation personnel and begin conducting institution evaluations using the information system starting this year.
