On the 20th, several online communities posted multiple photos under titles such as "The Ordinary Daily Lives of Korea's Heroes." The photos depicted independence activists living ordinary lives in the present day, recreated through AI. Ryan Osling, the photo creator and digital content creator, explained, "To commemorate Memorial Day, I created this content to remember Korea's heroes by focusing not on their struggles but on their 'daily lives.'" He added, "I wanted to emphasize that these heroes were not just historical figures but ordinary people who lived lives like ours."
The first photo revealed the image of Yu Gwansun, an independence activist who led the March 1st Movement and died at the age of 18. In the photo, Yu Gwansun, dressed in a school uniform, was smiling while eating tteokbokki and fried snacks with friends at a snack bar after school. Considering that Yu Gwansun died at the young age of 18 in 1920, the photo is even more heartwarming. Netizens responded with comments such as, "If Yu Gwansun were born today, she would have eaten school meals and played just like any other student," "Seeing Yu Gwansun's smiling face touches my heart deeply," and "This photo makes me realize how young Yu Gwansun was back then, and it brings tears to my eyes."

Ahn Jung-geun, the hero of the 'Harbin Incident' who assassinated Ito Hirobumi, was depicted drinking with colleagues after work, just like an ordinary office worker. In 1909, he cut off the ring finger of his left hand and wrote "Korean Independence" in blood on the Taegeukgi flag to pledge a death struggle with 11 other anti-Japanese fighters. Symbolizing this, a gold ring resembling a couple ring was worn on his left ring finger. Yun Bong-gil, who was executed at the age of 24 after the Hongkou Incident, was shown packing a lunchbox wearing a suit and an apron. This image portrayed him as a caring father and husband preparing a meal for his wife and children.

Poet Yun Dong-ju was depicted camping, reading a book while gazing at the starlight in the night sky. Kwon Ki-ok, Korea's first female pilot and independence activist who flew for Korean independence, was portrayed as Korea's first astronaut landing on the moon and planting the Taegeukgi flag.
Netizens who saw these images commented, "My heart is deeply moved," "I had a negative image of AI because I only saw cases of misuse, but seeing it used like this makes me grateful for technological advancement," "I ended up shedding a tear," and "I will never forget." Notably, the official account of the Ministry of Patriots and Veterans Affairs left a comment saying, "Please check your DM," and it was later revealed that the Ministry and Ryan Osling are planning AI content themed around the "Korean War and National Defense."
Ryan Osling also attracted attention by virtually recreating images of G-Dragon, who was appointed as an invited professor in the Department of Mechanical Engineering at KAIST, giving a lecture and buying bread at Seongsimdang bakery.
