Strengthening Clinical Practice Competency in Anatomy, Physiology, and Pathology
The Department of Clinical Laboratory Science at Dong-Eui University of Science and Technology (President Kim Youngdo), led by Department Head Kim Jongwan, announced on the 20th that it held a cadaver workshop program for first-year students at the College of Medicine of Keimyung University on the 7th.
The cadaver workshop program was organized to enhance students' foundational knowledge in core subjects such as anatomy, physiology, and pathology, as well as to strengthen their clinical practical competencies.
Students in the Department of Clinical Laboratory Science deepened their understanding of anatomical knowledge by attending theoretical lectures on the structure and function of the human body and directly observing and studying the muscles, skeleton, and internal organ structures.
They also took time to reflect on human life, dignity, and bioethics, laying the groundwork of basic knowledge necessary for studying their major subjects.
Kang Yeyoung, a first-year student who participated in the cadaver program, shared, "It was a valuable opportunity to gain an in-depth understanding of the structure and function of the human body. Experiencing the anatomy theories learned in school firsthand was a meaningful experience, and I would like to express my respect to the donors. This program has also served as a stepping stone to strengthen my capabilities as a future clinical laboratory scientist."
The Department of Clinical Laboratory Science at Dong-Eui University of Science and Technology is operating a variety of programs as part of the 2024 LINC 3.0 (Leaders in Industry-University Cooperation) project to provide students with field experience in career paths after graduation.
The Department of Clinical Pathology at Dong-Eui Institute of Technology is conducting a cadaver workshop at Keimyung University School of Medicine.
