Namwon City in Jeonbuk announced on the 20th that it will hold the "Garbage-Free Yegaram-gil Citizen Market" on the 22nd along Yegaram-gil.
Co-hosted by Namwon City and the Namwon Community Support Center, and organized by the Citizen Market Preparation Committee (Chairman Yoo Ji-seon), this event was planned to create a space for exchange and sharing among communities through the citizen market and to promote the revitalization of Yegaram-gil.
The event will feature various booths such as food, experiences, sales, and sharing to delight visitors' eyes and ears.
First, the food booths will offer beverages such as strawberry juice, soybean milk, and ade, while the experience booths will provide various activities including making aroma products, flower syrup ade, and resource recycling activities.
Additionally, about 30 booths will be set up featuring eco-friendly zero-waste products, pottery, lacquerware handicrafts, and more.
Side events include a street performance by the Sannae Play Troupe, a band performance by "The Sol," ocarina music by the "Kantarina" team, group drum performances by "Bukchigo Sallae," as well as environmental quiz programs and treasure hunts, among other diverse activities.
An official from the city stated, "Through the Garbage-Free Yegaram-gil Citizen Market, we aim for a festival without disposable products and waste, and hope it will serve as an opportunity to revitalize Yegaram-gil."
The city plans to continue hosting the "Garbage-Free Yegaram-gil Citizen Market" in the second half of this year to further promote the revitalization of Yegaram-gil.
