Taking an Icebox Out of a Pickup Truck
In California, USA, a black bear climbed onto a pickup truck and stole a worker's lunch, drawing attention.
Foreign media including Yahoo News reported on the 19th (local time) that a black bear appeared in California and stole workers' lunch backpacks. Barry, the victim of the incident, was remodeling a balcony of a house at the time. Barry and his colleagues had parked a pickup truck loaded with materials and tools near the house, which also contained backpacks and coolers with their lunch.
At that moment, Barry witnessed a huge black bear approaching the pickup truck. In a secretly recorded video, the bear climbs onto the back of the truck and takes out a blue cooler. Then the bear carries the cooler and heads somewhere.
Barry explained what happened next: "The bear took our cooler and the entire lunch and ate it all." Later, other neighbors chased the bear back into the forest, and Barry and his colleagues retrieved the abandoned cooler. Of course, the contents inside the cooler were already completely empty.
Meanwhile, California has recently been suffering from bears invading near residential areas. In the town of Sierra Madre, a black bear appeared five times within two hours, increasing residents' complaints. One of the black bears that entered the town even directly broke into a house.
