◆PlayGO= Sejong is a great place for family outings. From Geumgang Pedestrian Bridge, famous for the Ieung Bridge, to the evergreen National Sejong Arboretum, Sejong’s unique government office rooftop garden, and the Presidential Records Exhibition Hall, there is a variety of attractions. Especially, the National Sejong Arboretum is famous. It is the first urban arboretum in Korea. Located in the center of the administrative city in Yeongi-myeon, Sejong Special Self-Governing City, it covers 65 hectares, equivalent to 90 soccer fields, with 2,834 species and 1.72 million plants planted. You can see various tree species native to the temperate central region. It also features beautiful and diverse gardens and a magnificent greenhouse, making it a perfect half-day outing course. At night, it transforms spectacularly. Night openings are held on Fridays and Saturdays until October 12.

If you are curious about Sejong City’s night view, go to Geumgang Pedestrian Bridge. The bridge is designed to symbolize Sejong City’s ring-shaped structure. It commemorates the year King Sejong promulgated Hangul, with a circumference of 1,446 meters. At night, lights turn on, creating a unique design that looks like a circular band hanging in the black sky. The bridge has a double-deck structure: the upper deck is for pedestrians only, and the lower deck is for bicycles, allowing safe walking and riding. The highlight of the Geumgang Pedestrian Bridge night view is the 34-meter-high arch-shaped observatory. The night view created by the splendid bridge, its reflection on the Geumgang River, and the shining cityscape leaves a lasting impression. Operating hours are from 6 a.m. to 11 p.m., open year-round with no admission fee.
