"They'll even ask for a refund on Lotto" Netizens also baffled
A buyer demanded 'repair costs' from a seller, claiming that the screen (display) of a phone purchased secondhand 10 months ago was broken.
On the 20th, an online community 'BobaeDream' featured a story from a netizen who experienced a ridiculous situation on the secondhand trading platform 'Danggeun Market'. The author, Mr. A, shared photos saying, "The phone I bought 10 months ago is broken, and they are demanding repair costs." The photos show messenger conversations between Mr. A, the seller of the used smartphone, and the buyer at the time.

On August 24 last year, Mr. A traded a Galaxy Z Flip3 with buyer Mr. B. At that time, Mr. B expressed gratitude, saying, "You kept the phone very clean. I will use it well."
However, about 10 months later, on the 17th, Mr. B sent a message to Mr. A again. Mr. B said, "It hasn't been used long, but the screen is already broken. The repair costs 420,000 won." When Mr. A replied, "Why are you telling me that? Go to the service center," Mr. B responded in disbelief, "I bought it from you, so who else would I talk to?"
When Mr. A asked again, "You bought it secondhand and used it for 10 months, and now you're telling me this? Are you asking me to repair it?" Mr. B started to argue, saying, "You sold it too expensively. I paid 270,000 won for something I could only use for 10 months." Eventually, their emotions escalated, and the conversation ended with exchanged insults.
Netizens who read Mr. A's story all reacted with disbelief. Comments included, "I don't know what kind of case this is, using a secondhand phone for 10 months and then doing this," and "This is like someone buying a lottery ticket, losing, and asking for a refund."
