According to Gyeongnam Province, the Hyundai WIA Hands-on Safety Education Center S+ is equipped with 23 experiential facilities, including a construction safety zone, daily safety zone, health safety zone, virtual safety zone, as well as multipurpose lecture rooms.

Actual accident cases are recreated in virtual reality, allowing participants to experience various types of disasters that frequently occur in industrial sites or daily life.

The center is planned to be operated so that not only Hyundai WIA employees but also local organizations such as public health centers, elementary schools, fire stations, and the Ministry of Employment and Labor can participate in educational programs.

On this day, more than 150 people attended, including Governor Park, Hyundai WIA CEO Jung Jaeuk, Changwon Mayor Hong Nampyo, National Assembly member Heo Seongmu, 39th Division Commander Kim Jongmok, leaders in safety and health from the province, and Hyundai Group executives and employees.

The completion ceremony included an introduction to the Safety Culture Center, commemorative speeches, congratulatory remarks, tree planting, ribbon cutting for the completion, and a tour of the safety education center and Hyundai WIA facilities.

Gyeongnam Province expects that the operation of the safety education center will serve as a model case of a large corporation's win-win project for spreading a culture of safety and preventing industrial accidents in the province.

In addition, following the operation of the nation's first mobile Serious Accident Prevention School last year, this year the province is: ▲Strengthening industrial safety and health capabilities of local companies through an MOU with the Hyundai Motor Group Industrial Safety Win-Win Foundation ▲Sharing cases of excellent safety and health management systems from leading companies ▲Producing and distributing safety and health management system guides for small businesses ▲Providing free consulting through the Labor Safety and Health Guardian Team, thereby helping local business owners respond to the recently revised Serious Accident Punishment Act.
