At the Democratic Party's Supreme Council meeting that morning, Kang Min-gu, the Daegu City Party Committee Chairperson who was appointed as a nominated Supreme Council member and attended the meeting, expressed gratitude to Representative Lee Jae-myung who nominated him, saying, "The father of the Democratic Party is Representative Lee Jae-myung," and added, "As the elder of the family, Representative Lee Jae-myung..." Jeong Cheong-rae, a Supreme Council member, also praised the revision of the party constitution and regulations for Lee's reappointment as "something that was only possible in the era of Representative Lee Jae-myung."
