The representative agricultural specialty of Yeosu City, Jeollanam-do, ‘Seomseom Yeosu Corn’ has come into season.
‘Seomseom Yeosu Corn’ is the earliest to be shipped nationwide due to Yeosu’s mild climate conditions, and it is rich in sweetness and nutrients thanks to the sea breeze.
In Yongju Village, Hwayang-myeon, the largest corn production area in Yeosu, corn harvesting is in full swing, and the Yongju Village Grandmother Market is already crowded with citizens and tourists eager to purchase corn.
On the 17th, Jeong Gi-myeong, the mayor of Yeosu, visited Yongju Village in Hwayang-myeon to encourage farmers on the occasion of the first corn harvest and promoted ‘Seomseom Yeosu Corn.’
From the 22nd (Sat) to the 23rd (Sun), the ‘3rd Seomseom Yeosu Corn Festival’ will be held in front of the Hwayang-myeon Office at Najin Wharf, where visitors can enjoy a variety of corn experience events.
