Connecting with a Sky Bridge Separated by a Road
On the morning of the 19th at 11 a.m., Changwon Special City in Gyeongnam held an unveiling ceremony for the "Wolyeong Sky Bridge" signboard at the forest rest area on Bambatgogae in Wolyeong-dong, Masanhappo-gu.
The event was attended by Hong Sunyoung, Director of the Green City Project Office, Moon Sangsik, Head of Masanhappo-gu, as well as Jeong Ssanghak, Provincial Assembly member, and Changwon Special City Council members Park Seonae, Jeong Gilsang, and Jeon Hongpyo, along with about 30 local residents.
Director Hong stated, "The Wolyeong Sky Bridge is expected not only to connect the disconnected Muhaksan and Cheongnyangsan mountains, but also to become a popular spot for trekking and mountain leisure sports by linking the existing Muhaksan Mannalgogae and Cheongnyangsan Marine Observatory."
Meanwhile, the "Wolyeong Sky Bridge" project connects Muhaksan and Cheongnyangsan, which were previously separated by a road. With a total project cost of about 1.5 billion KRW (with national funding support), a pedestrian bridge with a total length of 55 meters and a width of 4 to 6 meters was constructed. Additional supplementary works, including a deck road leading to the pedestrian bridge, landscape lighting, and the installation of a rest area, were completed in March this year, leading to the opening of the bridge.
