Request for Support of Key Projects in Korea's First Hot Spring City
Changnyeong County in Gyeongnam Province announced that County Governor Sung Nakin visited the Gyeongnam Provincial Government on the 18th to meet with Governor Park Wansu and discuss solutions for local pending projects.
Governor Sung explained the Changnyeong County Bugok Hawaii reopening project to revitalize Bugok Hot Springs, the first-ever hot spring city in Korea, and requested active administrative support from Gyeongnam Province. He also proposed provincial funding support for major pending projects.

The main proposals included: 69.1 billion KRW for the Comprehensive Flood and Disaster Living Area Maintenance Project; 32.1 billion KRW for the Namji Natural Disaster Risk Improvement District Maintenance Project; 2.2 billion KRW for the Steep Slope Collapse Risk Zone Maintenance Construction; 10 billion KRW for the construction of the Changnyeong County Scientific Agricultural Management Facility; and 49.5 billion KRW for the Old Water Supply Pipeline Maintenance Project.
Additionally, he requested provincial funding for special adjustment grants for projects such as: 10 billion KRW for the establishment of a joint water supply facility at Bugok Hot Springs; 1.8 billion KRW for the Bugok Hot Springs Tourism Special Zone Street Landscape Improvement Project; and 1.5 billion KRW for the Namji and Masan District Road Construction Project.
After the meeting with the governor, he also visited the Administrative Vice Governor and Economic Vice Governor to further explain the pending projects and emphasize the need for active cooperation.
Governor Sung Nakin stated, "The Bugok Hawaii reopening project is an important initiative for revitalizing the local economy and ensuring long-term regional development. I will continue to work tirelessly to secure national and provincial budgets and ensure the smooth progress of our county's pending projects for a prosperous Changnyeong."
