Kakao Makers Launches 'Our Superpower Order' Campaign

Kakao Makers Launches 'Our Superpower Order' Campaign

Kakao's impact commerce platform, Kakao Makers, announced on the 19th the launch of its brand campaign "Our Superpower Order."

This campaign was designed to raise awareness of impact commerce and provide users with opportunities to participate. Through the campaign page, Kakao Makers is releasing interview videos featuring cases such as orders that ease producers' concerns and create opportunities, and orders that ensure agricultural and marine products that were about to be discarded receive their proper value. Various events are also being held where users can participate in donations simply by leaving comments.

Kakao Makers pursues impact commerce that goes beyond selling products to continuously contribute to solving social and environmental issues. It is characterized by supporting producers who have good ideas but have difficulty gaining sales opportunities by assisting with product content creation and marketing. Through this, 7,307 partner companies have sold 31.51 million products to date, achieving significant results.

Additionally, through the "Jegabochi" project, Kakao Makers supports sales channels for endangered auction flowers and oversupplied agricultural, marine, and livestock products. The "Saegabochi" project collects used items such as old T-shirts, denim, and aseptic packs together with users to create new products, contributing to solving environmental problems.

Moreover, special products are made for neighbors in need, and all proceeds from sales are donated. The total amount donated through this initiative has reached 610 million KRW.

Since 2022, Kakao Makers has been collecting the impact fund "Eco Seed," which allows users to contribute to solving social and environmental issues simply by placing orders. For each order, 100 KRW is contributed to the Eco Seed fund, which is used for various ESG activities. So far, a total of 1 billion KRW has been raised.

Along with this campaign, events are being held to enable users to easily participate in social change. All proceeds from the sale of the "Better Tomorrow Seed Kit," launched to celebrate reaching 1 billion KRW in Eco Seed funds, will be donated. Among users who sign up for product reservation notifications, 200 will be selected by lottery to receive special goods. After watching the campaign video, users who leave a comment about the most impressive order introduced in the video will have Kakao donate 1,000 KRW to Eco Seed on their behalf for each comment. The event runs until the 30th.

Jung Young-joo, ESG Service Performance Leader, said, "It is meaningful to convey to users that even small consumption, everyday shopping, and simple event participation can create a positive social impact," adding, "Kakao Makers will continue to strive to establish itself as a sustainable commerce platform."
