Successful Hosting of the 2024 Seoul International Garden Expo, Director Praised Publicly by Mayor Oh Se-hoon Sends SNS Message to Staff on the 19th

"The most perfect carbon storage in the world is trees."

This was the message conveyed by Lee Su-yeon, Director of the Seoul Metropolitan Government's Green City and Leisure Bureau, to all staff.

Having successfully hosted the '2024 Seoul International Garden Expo' and receiving public praise from Mayor Oh Se-hoon, Director Lee urged employees through a social networking service (SNS) message on the 19th, saying, "Global warming is intensifying climate change. When creating companion charm gardens in our city, please utilize a variety of trees and shrubs with high carbon absorption capacity."

She also added, "It would be great if each business office and district office could create a signature carbon reduction garden with its own unique garden aesthetics."

Director Lee concluded by saying, "I am proud of and thankful to all our Green City and Leisure Bureau staff who always work hard and serve the citizens with passion."

After graduating from the Seoul Metropolitan Government's Forest Resources Department and passing the first local civil service exam, she has held many positions including Seoul City Press Officer, Seoul 7017 Operations Manager, Deputy Mayor of Jungnang District, and Director of Seoul Grand Park. She is known as an executive with many ideas.

In particular, as the Director of the Green City and Leisure Bureau?the highest position in the green sector for administrative officials?she is gaining attention for her excellent communication with employees.
