Everyone Joins Forces to Successfully Rescue
A heartwarming story has emerged where several citizens came together without hesitation to successfully rescue a 17-month-old child after the vehicle they were in overturned.
On the 18th, a post titled "I am a victim of the traffic accident at the Independence Gate Station intersection last Thursday" was uploaded on an online community. The author, Mr. A, began by saying, "I was driving with my 17-month-old child on the way home from work and daycare when the car behind hit my vehicle while I was waiting to turn right at the Independence Gate Station intersection."
Mr. A explained the situation, "I remember the car behind approaching very fast while waiting at the signal. I immediately heard a loud 'bang,' and my car rolled over several times." In the video Mr. A shared, his vehicle driving along the side road next to the overpass is overturned due to the car behind. Despite groaning in pain, Mr. A’s voice can be heard shouting, "Please save the child," as several citizens rush over and desperately try to right the overturned car. Soon, the vehicle is set upright, and the citizens calmly rescue the child and Mr. A.
Mr. A expressed his gratitude, saying, "There were so many people who helped immediately after the accident. Honestly, I was so overwhelmed that I couldn’t even fully realize what had happened to me, so I wasn’t able to properly thank them. It was only after seeing the news and video the next day that I realized I hadn’t said a word of thanks to the heroes who saved my child’s life." He continued, "When the car was overturned, I was scared of a secondary accident, so I tried to unbuckle my seatbelt to reach my child, but it wouldn’t come undone. Thanks to those who quickly helped right my car, we were able to escape promptly."
Mr. A added, "I am grateful to the paramedics, medical staff, police officers, and the citizen heroes who reassured and transported my child and me to the emergency room." He said, "My child has been very startled, often waking up crying at night and barely eating, which worries me, but we will work hard on treatment and return to daily life. I will never forget that they saved us and will live my life diligently."

Netizens who read the story responded with comments such as, "Wishing a speedy recovery," "It doesn’t seem like a place where speeding is possible even though it’s a steep downhill; the other driver should be tested for alcohol," "Glad to hear everyone is safe," "This is why you should always wear a seatbelt even for short city trips," "All those citizens are heroes," and "Wishing a quick recovery for both the child and mother."
A netizen, Mr. B, who witnessed the accident said, "I hope the child recovers quickly and finds stability. Seeing the mother holding her child reminded me again that 'mothers are great.'" He explained the situation, "There was a lot of white smoke at the accident scene, and since the vehicle was overturned, I was worried about a possible secondary fire accident, so I parked on the shoulder and ran to the scene. At that time, four or five elderly people wearing hiking clothes were already trying to stop the car." He added, "There were many dangerous things like broken glass shards, but everyone seemed to share the same mindset. We just wanted to protect the people inside the vehicle from fire or other secondary accidents. I’m really relieved that no one was seriously injured."
