Earlier, on the 9th, the YouTube channel 'K-Town Star Kerang-i' exposed the identity of employee B of this company as one of the perpetrators of the Miryang group sexual assault case. Following this, outraged netizens flocked to Company A, and at one point, the website became inaccessible due to excessive traffic. Stock investors also voiced their criticism of Company A.
Company A is known as a publicly listed company that supplies several major domestic corporations. Investors protested, saying, "Take immediate action," "Fire him quickly. As a shareholder, this is embarrassing," and "A YouTube video claims the perpetrator works at this company. Is this true? If so, is it normal for the company to just leave it as is?"

As criticism continued, Company A eventually announced on the 12th through a first notice that "Regarding the socially controversial incident, the company has internally placed the employee on suspension pending investigation and plans to take personnel action based on the facts." However, this response was seen as lukewarm, leading to even greater backlash. One netizen criticized, "Why just suspension? This is defending a criminal." Furthermore, when a person presumed to be a Company A employee posted on a domestic portal site bulletin board stating, "Company A is unrelated to the rape case. He is a competent and smart employee. Please stop the criticism," public opinion worsened, prompting Company A to announce B’s dismissal on their website.
Since the 1st, the Miryang sexual assault case has been re-examined as the identities of the perpetrators were exposed through some YouTube channels. However, this process also caused harm, such as innocent people being mistakenly identified as perpetrators, and sparked debates over private sanctions. The Miryang sexual assault case involved 44 male students sexually assaulting one female middle school student over the course of a year in 2004. The perpetrators were high school students born between 1986 and 1988. None of them received criminal punishment.
