Sergey Naryshkin, Director of the Russian Foreign Intelligence Service (SVR), said on the 17th (local time) that "positive results are expected from President Vladimir Putin's visit to North Korea."


Director Naryshkin reportedly said through local Russian media on the same day, "This visit is well organized and will yield results."


North Korea and Russia have not officially confirmed the schedule of President Putin's visit to North Korea, but it is expected to be a one-night, two-day trip starting from the 18th. This will be the first visit by a Russian president to North Korea in 24 years. President Putin is scheduled to visit Vietnam on the 19th.
