For Youth and Middle and High School Students in the District
The Gyeonggi-do Hwaseong Social Economy Support Center is hosting the 'Youth Social Venture Idea Contest' to address local community issues faced by teenagers.
Now in its 9th year, this contest aims to cultivate social entrepreneurship spirit among youth, develop their creative problem-solving skills, and raise awareness of the importance of a transformed society created together through this process.
Eligibility is limited to teenagers registered as residents of Hwaseong City (excluding university students) or middle and high school students attending schools within the district, who must form teams of 3 to 8 members. The contest categories include ▲Regional Balance ▲Environment ▲Labor ▲School Cooperatives ▲Appropriate IT Technology, among others.
Teams wishing to participate can submit their ideas in writing from the 19th of this month until the 3rd of next month. Detailed information is available on the Hwaseong Social Economy Support Center website.
After the first round of document screening, selected teams will undergo an on-site evaluation on the 19th of next month at the Hwaseong Southern Comprehensive Welfare Center. Prizes totaling approximately 1.5 million KRW will be awarded, including Grand Prize, Excellence Award, Merit Award, and Encouragement Award. The Grand Prize and Excellence Award also include additional rewards for the supervising teachers.
Moon Jo-seong, Director of the Hwaseong Social Economy Support Center, stated, "Through this contest, we hope that teenagers will share future-oriented and innovative perspectives and that it will serve as an opportunity to discover young innovative leaders in the local community."
