Recruiting 9 Teams by Selected Fields
Promoting Gyeongju via SNS
Gyeongju City is recruiting participants for the 'Live in Gyeongju for a Month' program until the 28th.
The 'Live in Gyeongju for a Month' program, as its name suggests, offers people the opportunity to experience living in Gyeongju, aiming to increase the local population and revitalize the community.
Since its launch in 2021, a total of 79 participants have joined the program through the first half of this year, effectively promoting Gyeongju via social media platforms such as Instagram and blogs.
The selection process will choose nine teams by field of interest, and each team will receive up to 1.5 million KRW for accommodation and up to 320,000 KRW for activity expenses.
Participants can choose to stay for 21 to 30 consecutive nights between August and October.
During their stay, participants must post at least one review per day on social media, and after completing the program, each team is required to create original content to promote Gyeongju.
Anyone over the age of 19 who resides outside of Gyeongju can apply, and up to two people can participate per team.
Participants will be selected based on their area of interest, purpose for joining, and plans, with final notifications to be sent individually in July.
Joo Nakyoung, Mayor of Gyeongju, emphasized, "Through this program, I hope many people will go beyond simple tourism to stay in Gyeongju, rediscover its charm, and have a meaningful experience, especially for those considering returning to farming, rural life, or starting a business."
