Dong-Eui Institute of Technology Holds 'Geumsaemgo New Technology Experience Camp'

Boosting Work-Study Programs... Providing Career Development Roadmaps

The Work-Study Dual Training Center at Dong-Eui University of Science and Technology (President Kim Youngdo) announced on the 17th that it held the '2024 Geumsaem High School New Technology Experience Camp for the Promotion of High School-Level Work-Study Dual Training' with Geumsaem High School, an industry-academia integrated Meister school, at the Industry-Academia AI Cafe on the 13th.

Sixteen second-year students from the Meister class (Department of Electronics) at Geumsaem High School, along with the head of Meister education, supervising teachers, and Meister coordinators, visited the university to participate in the new technology experience camp, which included a special lecture on 'Semiconductor and Electronics Technology in the Era of the Fourth Industrial Revolution' and 'Composing and Writing Lyrics with AI.'

This camp was organized as a measure to promote high school-level work-study dual training, aiming to provide high school student trainees with more opportunities to experience new technologies, present a career development roadmap, and motivate them for training.

Park Jaeyoung, a second-year student in the Meister class (Department of Electronics) at Geumsaem High School, said, "It was great to visit the university and receive detailed explanations about future careers and job roles," and added, "I want to build experience related to new technologies through work-study dual training."

Kim Changdong, head of the Work-Study Dual Training Center at Dong-Eui University of Science and Technology, stated, "I hope that this event to promote high school-level work-study dual training at local Meister schools will help Geumsaem High School's electronics Meister class students prepare their career development roadmaps and enhance their motivation for training.
