HD Hyundai Samho Introduces Wearable Robots for On-Site Workers' Health

Agreement Signed with Angel Robotics, Focusing on Prevention of Musculoskeletal Disorders

HD Hyundai Samho, the largest company in the southwestern region of Jeonnam, is prioritizing the health of on-site workers by strengthening efforts to prevent musculoskeletal disorders and alleviate fatigue.

On the 17th, HD Hyundai Samho announced that it has signed a business agreement with Angel Robotics to introduce customized wearable robots for the field to take care of workers' health on site.

Through the agreement with Angel Robotics, HD Hyundai Samho plans to develop industrial wearable robots tailored to the shipyard work environment and expand their application scope.

On the 11th, a business agreement was signed for the 'Development of Wearable Equipment Customized for Shipyards' with the attendance of key stakeholders including President Shin Hyun-dae and CEO Gong Kyung-cheol of Angel Robotics.

According to the agreement, Angel Robotics will enhance and develop the existing industrial wearable robot series, angel GEAR, to suit the shipyard work environment and gradually expand its application range in the future.

At the signing ceremony, CEO Gong Kyung-cheol said, “Based on our development capabilities so far, we will now develop industry-customized wearable robots and expand their base.”

President Shin Hyun-dae stated, “Due to the nature of shipyards, many processes are difficult to automate, but through the development of robots optimized for the field, we will create an environment where workers can work comfortably without musculoskeletal disorders.”
